Dermot Kennedy announces two major Irish concerts for next summer

Dermot Kennedy has announced two major Irish concerts for next summer.

The Outnumbered hitmaker will play Malahide Castle in Dublin on Friday, June 26, and Irish Independent Park in Cork, on Saturday, June 27.

Tickets cost just €49.90, and go on sale next Friday at 9am on the Ticketmaster website.

The announcement comes ahead the 27-year-old's two sold out 3Arena shows in December.

Speaking about his album 'Without Fear,' which was released just last month, the Dubliner said: “I wanted it to represent darkness and sorrow but also hope, and that battle between them, and the way that in life you’ll inevitably experience beautiful things and terrible things...This is the only way I know how to put feelings across.

“Great people like Van Morrison, they did this too. So, you’ve got to do it.”
