Dermot Bannon shows off dance skills in 'hysterical' video as Dancing With The Stars judge wants him on show

Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian said he wants Dermot Bannon to sign up for the show next year.

The Armenian-born choreographer hosted a Feel Good Motivation morning at RTE, which saw the Room To Improve star show off his snake hips as he learned a few moves.

Arthur said he wants Bannon to sign up for the show next season.

He said: “He is hysterical. He was doing 70s (moves). That’s what I love about dancing, it doesn’t matter if you don’t need the routine, just keep going.”

The father-of-one said after watching his footwork at the sparkly campaign on Wednesday, he hopes Dermot signs up to the show next year.

“I hope he is. That would be amazing, I would love to watch him dance. He’s so funny, I loved it.”

It comes after Bannon appeared on the series in 2019 when pal Mairead Ronan was on the show.

Dermot said at the time: "Mairead is a friend of mine and we're neighbours and I popped in to see her in rehearsals. I think she's doing amazingly well.”

The architect tried his hand at some fancy footwork but Mairead was less than impressed with Dermot's not-so-smooth moves.

She said at the time: "Dermot joined in on our dancing today. It was like really weird awful switch up week. I think Dermot needs a lot of work on his frame."
