Dermot Bannon returning with Room To Improve this weekend to showcase his own revamped Dublin home

The moment Room To Improve fans have been waiting for will happen this weekend when Dermot Bannon finally showcase his own home.

The nation's favourite architect has renovated houses in Ireland on the programme since 2007.

But now it's time for country to see inside the RTE star's very own family home.

Bannon will show viewers his revamped property in Drumcrondra, Dublin in a new two part series which will begin on Sunday.

Sharing a picture of his new landing, last December, which sees wooden floors, cream walls and plenty of natural light, Dermot wrote: "Moving in day!!! #sneakpeak my favourite new old window in the house."

However, in a trailer for the new episodes, the TV favourite can be seen getting frustrated at the destruction and rebuild of his home.

In it, he said: "It was supposed to the exciting one. This is the dream job. It's not.

"It's just another job now. And that's not what it was meant to be. That's a problem. And it's freaking me out."

  • Room To Improve will kick start again at 9.30pm this Sunday on RTE One.
