Derelict Edinburgh pub near Water of Leith to undergo huge transformation

A former Edinburgh pub has announced it will be given a new lease of life in the coming months following a huge renovation.

The Woodhall Arms in Currie had been lying derelict for some time, with the former local watering hole searching for new management for years.

After being boarded up for some time, locals had spotted some signs of life at the building, with the owners confirming the news last weekend.

Located in the heart of Currie and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Water of Leith walkway, the site is expected to bring in both locals and those exploring the scenic route.

Although an official opening date is yet to be set, the pub have launched an advert for new staff and have promised more details as soon as possible.

The pub have also shared some sneak preview images of the ongoing renovation, with the interior seeing almost an entire rip out and refit.

Floors, walls and color schemes all look to be changed up, however it appears that the traditional fireplace in the centre of the room will stay put.
