Derek McInnes has admitted Rangers are still looking for some "key additions" in the transfer window as he revealed the Ibrox club could make two signings this week.
Rangers kick off their Scottish Premiership campaign on Friday night against Dundee United, and could be boosted by a double arrival ahead of the match.
McInnes is confident Rangers will bring in at least one new player before the league curtain-raiser, but stated efforts are being made for a second signing this week.

Speaking on Sky Sports about the readiness of the squad, he said: "Physically, we are ready. Every game has been a bit more challenging.
"Obviously, we're still like every team and manager; we are still looking for some key additions."
For McInnes, Rangers remain "a bit light defensively" and the Ibrox boss wants to bring in some "gamechangers" to provide a spark in creative positions on the park.
"I think we have good options in certain areas of the pitch," he said, discussing areas being targeted in the transfer window.

"We are a wee bit light defensively; we have got good numbers centrally, we have good options at centre forward.
"But I think in those creative moments, the ability to penetrate more, create a bit more and people who can isolate a bit more, I think that is an area we can improve on, and hopefully we can get that done."
On a timeline for acquisitions, McInnes added: "I'll speak with the recruitment team after training. These conversations have been ongoing.
"I think we are close to getting one done, and we are actively trying to get one more done before the weekend, all being well."
