DEREK JOHNSTONE has drawn comparisons between Rangers and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City ahead of the Europa League final.
The Light Blues look as though they will have to line up without key strikers Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe in a false nine formation.
Manchester City have adopted a similar look this season after their main man Sergio Aguero departed the club, and Johnstone is confident his former side can still create without a striking threat.
He told Sky Sports: "We are playing like a miniature Manchester City, they don't have a real striker either.
"We don't have that and it doesn't look like Kemar Roofe is going to make it and Alfredo Morelos certainly won't.
"Other players have stepped up to the mantle, Joe Aribo has played there, Scott Arfield has played there, Scott Wright has played there, it doesn't matter who plays there.
"As long as you are keeping the back four busy and we are scoring goals as well.
"That is the real bonus for us. I don't think we have to fear anybody.
"It would have been great if we had Morelos because he is the main man, our top scorer.
"He is not here. So we forget him and we count on the players we have here with us.
"We are good enough to create chances, we just have to take one or two of them."
