Rangers defender Derek Cornelius has lifted the lid on his free-kick method after he scored a stunner for Canada on Tuesday evening.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Ibrox club on loan from Marseille on transfer deadline day, netted the only goal of the game as his country defeated Wales by a goal to nil in a friendly.
Speaking post-match, Cornelius lifted the lid on his technique.
He was quizzed on whether he'd asked boss Jesse Marsch to take free-kicks: "Jesse no.. maybe Ali [teammate Ali Ahmed] yes," he said [RecordSport].
"But I was working on it in training this week and I just felt confident, I was in a good place, I got good contact and I’m just glad it went in.

"I know I have a good strike and I just went up and hit it good.
"It’s taking on more responsibility. The Gold Cup was a disappointment for everybody - myself included. But we learned from it, we need to flip the page and get things right going forward for the World Cup."
A number of Cornelius' teammates delivered praise for him after his goal: "He was a monster on Tuesday," said fellow defender Richie Laryea.
"He’s not played 90 for a little bit so to get two was a real positive for him.
"He’s been good both matches and to get that free kick was great - he’s been practising it for a long time now. To pull it off in a game like this is good for his confidence."
Juventus striker and Canada skipper Jonathan David said: "It’s a great free kick. We know he has the quality to shoot them. It was a good day for Derek.
"I was encouraging him to step up and shoot them earlier - years ago. But I guess Tuesday was the day and I’m happy for him."
