Derek Chisora tapes his mouth shut and refuses to speak during press conference

Derek Chisora refused to speak during the press conference for his rematch against Joseph Parker, telling Eddie Hearn to pay him for his words.

The British heavyweight will be looking for revenge against Parker this weekend after losing on a split decision earlier this year.

Parker and Chisora faced off ahead of their second meeting at a press conference with the New Zealander promising to end the fight within the distance.

Meanwhile Chisora comically refused to speak placing a note over his mouth that read : "Eddie (Hearn) pay me to talk."

He then continued to refuse to respond to Parker before brandishing a speaker and playing Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Hearn and Chisora's trainer Dave Coldwell laughed off the refusal on stage before the Matchroom Boxing kingpin wrapped up proceedings.

Chisora has been notorious for his antics on stage during press conferences including a famous brawl with former rival David Haye in Munich earlier in his career.

Parker however was more keen to speak about the fight and made a bold prediction regarding the fight's outcome this weekend in Manchester.

"The crowd made Derek feed off of them and having no crowd is pretty weird," Parker said. “I am looking to knock him out between round six and 10."

Chisora felt he was unfortunate to not be awarded the decision in the initial clash and has promised to go one step further and find a stoppage.

His aggressive and forward-thinking tactics provided real problems for Parker who was downed in the opening stages of the first showdown behind-closed-doors.

Any victory for Chisora could put him in contention for a potential world-title shot which may be one of his last as he approaches the twilight stages of his career.

In the press conference last month, Chisora was more keen to break down the second instalment of the dust-up, asking for American judges to score the contest.

"Two fights behind closed doors, Manchester again I am half excited and half not to be honest with you, but I might be disappointed with what comes with the fight," Chisora said at the previous press conference.

“I am going to tell my management team that we will get an American referee and good judges for the fight as so many times I have been robbed.

“I am going to say this honestly to you the public and Eddie, I want a good American referee so I need one that isn’t from the British Boxing Board of Control.

"I am upset after the first fight, I don’t believe the fight stats so it shows you how crooked this sport is sometimes, all I want to see is you in the ring.

"The only way you win is if Eddie pays the judges and referee for you."

Despite his confidence, Chisora has admitted in the build-up to the fight that he will make several tactical tweaks to boost his chances of prevailing in his second attempt.
