Derek Carr and Antonio Brown are in the honeymoon phase

The Antonio Brown saga in Pittsburgh is over as is the AB era.

Brown was dealt to the Oakland Raiders last week for two mid-round picks thus ending a drama-filled offseason for the Steelers.

One of the reasons for the fractured relationship ship between Brown and the Steelers was the criticism Brown caught from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger following a Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos. But there were plenty of other instances of tension, too.

Now, Brown is going to play with Derek Carr, a guy with zero Super Bowl rings (or playoff wins) and who threw just nine touchdowns to wide receivers last season, compared to the 15 Brown caught on his own in Pittsburgh.

It remains to be seen whether this new relationship will blossom on the field, but so far, the two are looking like best friends. You know, the all important honeymoon phase where it’s all sunshine and rainbows.

Take a look.

We’ll see how things are after Week 1. Let’s just say if Brown had issues playing with a Super Bowl-winning quarterback who helped him put up Hall of Fame numbers, then he may be in for a rude awakening with Carr.

The 2019 season can’t get her soon enough.
