Derek Acorah has passed away at the age of 69 after a short illness.
The self-styled spiritual medium has been a well-known British television personality over the last three decades and is best known for his work on Most Haunted.
He also appeared in the 2017 series of Celebrity Big Brother where he lasted until the final and was the fourth celebrity to be eliminated.
As the news of Derek's passing was announced in a statement from his wife Gwen, but how long had the pair been married?

Who are Derek Acorah's family?
Derek had been married to his second wife Gwen Acorah since 1995 and they were together until his death.
The pair have two children together.
Gwen has worked as a producer and has worked on the series The PAST Hunters whilst also making appearances in Most Haunted.
The couple has worked as patrons for the registered charity Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme, which helps blind people by providing seeing dogs.
Announcing her husband's death in a statement posted to Facebook , Gwen said: "Farewell my love! I will miss you forever!"
Derek Acorah was previously married to his first wife Rachel Walker from March 1984 until their divorce in 1990.
Who is Sam the Ghost?
Derek had a notable spirit guide who he claimed protected him from evil spirits named Sam.
The medium described him to the Nottingham Post : "I first met my spirit guide, Sam, in a previous lifetime when I was an Ethiopian boy and Sam was a friend of the family. This is about 2,038 years ago.
"Sam was an oracle with psychic powers who travelled from village to village. When my village was attacked by some marauding invaders, I heard the screaming and I scampered away. When it settled, I crawled back to find my family had been massacred. Two days and nights passed before Sam arrived and shouted my name out.
"From then on, I travelled with him."
Acorah revealed that his grandmother, who was also a medium, introduced him to Sam when he was a child but Derek had already had visions of him in startling dreams and flashbacks.
Despite the ability to be told the lottery numbers by Sam, Derek always stated he would not abuse the guidance that Sam offered him.
