Dereck Chisora to fight David Price on Taylor vs Prograis undercard after Joseph Parker withdrawal

David Price will come in to take on Dereck Chisora in an all-British heavyweight clash in London on 26 October.

Chisora was originally scheduled to meet former WBO champion Joseph Parker – but the New Zealander was forced to withdraw due to illness, likely brought on by a spider bite, according to his manager David Higgins.

Price has been drafted in as his replacement for a fight that will serve as the chief undercard bout for the World Boxing Super Series final between Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis.

36-year-old Price comes into the bout off the back of an impressive victory over Dave Allen in July – his third win on the bounce.

Chisora fought on the same card – sealing a devastating second round stoppage over Artur Szpilka.

Earlier this month, ‘Del Boy’ launched a furious tirade at fight organisers ahead of the October 26 card at the O2 Arena, insisting his meeting with Parker should have been top of the bill ahead of Taylor vs Progais.

He told a press conference: “nobody gives a f*** about the little guys.

“These guys wouldn’t sell box office by themselves, so f*** that. So either you give me main event or pull me out of the f****** show."
