Derbyshire tech firm signs major multi-year partnership with Network Rail

A Derbyshire firm which specialises in technology that helps firms engage with their stakeholders has announced a major multi-year deal with Network Rail.

Online stakeholder management specialists Tractivity, based at Bakewell, will provide cloud-based solution across Network Rail’s stakeholder engagement programme, allowing access to key events and information associated to each project.

In addition, all Network Rail stakeholders providing feedback and wishing to be kept involved will be logged, helping it to easily track engagement, messaging and relay outcome information to those who wish to be kept informed.

Established in 2002, Tractivity is used by a range of organisations and extensively within the transport, energy and utilities sectors and across the NHS.

Paul Rivers, chairman at Tractivity, said: “Demonstrating that you are listening to your stakeholders is powerful but actually showing you are acting on what they say is invaluable.

“By integrating our suite of solutions into their stakeholder engagement programme, Network Rail are clearly placing stakeholders at the very heart of their strategy and we are very proud to be working with them on this major project.”

Mahmud Shahnawaz, consultations head at Network Rail, said: “We value our stakeholders and aim to develop good, long-term working relationships that are built upon openness, fairness and trust.

“We also want to make it as easy as possible for our stakeholders to do business with us and Tractivity’s online platform helps us to do that.

“It is a fantastic way to help streamline processes but more critically, it helps us to encourage open and transparent engagement.

‘It all helps accelerate our digital transformation, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of our stakeholders and ability to reach them, while helping to develop our corporate ‘memory’.

“The outcome is better information, better decisions, communications and outcomes for all.”
