A Derbyshire firm which provides services to the corrugated packaging industry has made a new appointment and promoted a key member of staff.
High Peak-based Avanti Conveyors, which provides materials and logistics to the sector, has promoted Martyn Harness to engineering director and recruited Tom Lord as project manager.
Martyn joined Avanti Conveyors in October last year as project delivery manager. He will now be responsible for directing the engineering team to deliver the company’s updates and new product development plans alongside leading the project delivery team.
Simon Mander, managing director of Avanti Conveyors, said: "Martyn has been instrumental in a number of major projects since joining the team.
"Promoting him into this important role for Avanti is a strategic decision to further develop the engineering and project delivery teams.
"In addition, Tom’s appointment is fundamental to the evolution at Avanti Conveyors and he brings a wealth of valuable experience to the team.”
Tom joins the firm in the newly created role of project manager, which the firm says will be is a key position to support the future growth of the business.
Tom has leadership and engineering experience as well as Prince2 and Six Sigma knowledge, which the company says will ensure smooth and seamless project deliveries for customers.
