Chris Lucketti says Motherwell can all-but secure their Premiership status with a derby win at Hamilton tomorrow night - but they just want to continue their run of form.
The Steelmen go into battle with their near-neighbours on a run of four wins from their last five games, and while assistant manager Lucketti says they can't change what has happened in past derbies this season, they can affect what happens in South Lanarkshire.
Lucketti said: "Three points will go a long way towards that [avoiding the play-off], nothing is guaranteed, but three points would certainly help our situation.
"We've won four of our last five games, so we know we're in good form, the lads are confident and training well, playing well, and picking up results, which is what it's all about.
"We don't want to look into the past, those things have happened and we've been disappointed with those results and performances, but we're focusing on what we can do on Wednesday, looking forward to the game.
"It's always important for the fans, bragging rights are always important, and hopefully we can give them that on Wednesday night."
Lucketti added: "We've not been happy with the results since we've come up here against them, and obviously before we've come in.
"We know what has gone on in the past but we can't change that, we just want to go on and win the game.
"They've been disappointing, that's for sure. That's something we can't change from the past, but what we can do is change the future, look forward.
"The lads are full of confidence, looking forward to the game, and looking forward to producing the right performance, which will get us three points."
