Derby tech firm lands major deal with Bombardier for health and safety app

A Derby tech firm has landed a major deal with rail giant Bombardier for its health and safety app.

Work Wallet, developed by a firm of the same name based in Friar Gate Studios, has been chosen by Bombardier Transportation’s Rail Controls Solutions Division to support wayside working at project sites worldwide.

Work Wallet is an all-in-one health and safety digital platform, consisting of a mobile app and online portal.

It supports remote working and provides communication, documentation and processes needed to run effective health and safety wherever you are.

With the initial deployment of incident and accident reporting, trackside safety inspections, risk assessment and clock in/out functionalities, which can all be accessed via a mobile phone app as well as an online portal, Bombardier employees can access information and record issues when and where they need to, in accordance with all safety rules.

Jonathan Gray, chief executive at Work Wallet, said: “We’re delighted that Bombardier Transportation has chosen us to support their Rail Control Solutions Division’s wayside workers worldwide.

“We look forward to working closely with them on their continuous journey to ensure the highest levels of safety at all times.”
