Frank Lampard is anticipating the Championship play-off race to take more twists and turns as a fascinating season enters its conclusion.
Lampard's Derby County capitalised on Bristol City's defeat to Aston Villa to move two points behind the sixth-placed Robins over the weekend.
With seventh-placed Middlesbrough also in the mix, and Villa's play-off spot still not confirmed despite a phenomenal run of wins, Lampard knows there is still a lot to play for - especially with his side set to face the Robins on April 27.
He said: "It has tightened up again, and I don't think it is the last twist. I think we are going to see a few. I think it will go to the wire.
"The fact we have to play Bristol City, that will be important as long as we do well in the games before that.
"The next two games are huge for us.
"If we can get results at Birmingham and against QPR over the Easter period, I think it will leave us certainly knocking on the door of the top six."
Lampard believes his side have a great chance of the play-offs, and he would have taken this position at the start of the season.
He said: "What we must believe is that if we perform like we did against Bolton, if we can get the results that performances like that bring, then we have a great chance.
"We have a great chance of the play-offs and at the start of the season, we would definitely have been happy with that. So we must keep fighting.”
