Frank Lampard gives update on Derby County goalkeeper linked with Bristol City, Stoke City and Hull City in summer

Derby County boss Frank Lampard says he wants Kelle Roos to stay at Pride Park.

The goalkeeper's deal expires at the end of the season and talks are ongoing over a new one.

Yet Bristol City, Stoke City and Hull City have all been linked with swoops for the 26-year-old, meaning his future is now up in the air.

The Robins will likely be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper in the summer, with Frank Fielding's contract set to expire - and Roos has Championship experience, making eight appearances for the Rams this season.

Yet Lampard told Derbyshire Live that he wants the keeper to sign a new deal.

Lampard said: "The club is still in talks.

"We want Kelle to sign, we have offered him a contract and at the moment the club is talking to his agent about it.

Revealed: The stark amount Championship clubs paid agents in the last two transfer windows - including Bristol City, Leeds United and Aston Villa

"I have stepped out of it because I am focused on the football, and Kelle should be as well.

"We can let the club and the agent deal with that."
