Philip Cocu says his Derby County side have not yet given up on making the play-offs ahead of facing Bristol City on Wednesday.
The Rams have lost just one of their last 11 games and ran out 3-2 winners against Swansea City over the weekend.
Bristol City currently occupy seventh place, level on points with sixth-placed Preston North End in the race for the top six.
The Rams are in 13th, seven points off City, and Cocu has challenged his side to continue their form and make the play-offs.
Speaking to RamsTV, Cocu said: "Every game is important now.
“We are working towards the end of the season, so if we want to get close to where we want to be then we need to continue in the positive winning streak.
“It will be difficult, but the ambition is definitely in the team and the staff to try and pull it off.”
He continued: “We have another away game against Bristol City on Wednesday night and it’s good to have a win now away from Pride Park.
“It confirms that we are in a good moment and for the confidence of the team, to go to an away game off the back of a win, we know it’s possible and we know we can’t settle now.
“We need to keep pushing for another good result and we will do that on Wednesday.”
The Rams were beaten in last season's play-off final after pipping Bristol City and Middlesbrough to sixth spot.
City had held the edge over the Rams, then managed by Frank Lampard, in the race for the play-offs, but a 2-0 defeat to Derby with two games left in the season all but ended their hopes.
