A Derby catering equipment firm which has been operating in the city for almost half a century has been named one of the best family businesses in Britain.
Cattermole Group, based in Noel Street, was named the winner of the Retail category at the National Family Business of the Year Awards, which took place at Wembley Stadium.
Run by Family Business United, the awards recognise the diversity, strength and depth of family firms across the UK and seek to highlight the contribution that they make to the UK economy.
Cattermole Group is a second generation family business and works with some of the leading manufacturers in the catering industry.
It specialises in the repair, servicing, and sale of kitchen appliances, including spare parts for a wide range of domestic and commercial appliances.
As well as providing service contracts for many well-known appliance brands throughout the Midlands, Cattermole has also become an international supplier of spare parts throughout the world.
Among the businesses that use its services are George’s Traditional Fish and Chip Shops, Subway, Rolls-Royce Leisure and Burton Albion.
