Derby car dealership group Pentagon set to add new Vauxhall site to its portfolio

A car dealership group based in Derby has announced plans to buy another site in Leicestershire.

Pentagon Motor Group, which is headquartered in Alfreton Road, is set to acquire the Archie Moss Vauxhall dealership in Loughborough.

It is to buy the site, which currently offers new and used Vauxhall car sales, as well as after sales support for Citroen, Peugeot and Renault vehicles, from CSM.

Pentagon, which is part of Motus Group, already operates more than 40 franchise outlets for a range of major car manufacturers, with 28 sites across the East Midlands, North West and South Yorkshire.

David Lewis, managing director at Pentagon Motor Group, said: “We’re very happy to be adding to our current Vauxhall portfolio of nine dealerships.

“We will immediately begin the process of consultation with the existing dealership staff and are hopeful all will join us under normal TUPE regulations and will do everything we can to ensure this is the case.”

The deal is expected to be completed before the end of the month.

Rob Truscott, chief executive at Motus Group, said: “As a group, we are committed to growth. Not growth at any cost, but where we see real opportunity at sensible investment levels.

“The acquisition of an important Vauxhall dealership fits well with our ambitions.”
