Derby agent BB&J Commercial secures sale of city housing plot to major developer

A Derby commercial property firm has successfully negotiated the sale of a plot of land in the city which has been earmarked for more than 80 new homes.

BB&J Commercial , along with Mather Jamie, has completed the sale of the 3.5-acre plot, known as Bunkers Wood, to regional housing developer William Davis.

The land, which is to the north of Allan Avenue, in Littleover, is the subject of a combined planning application to deliver more than 80 homes, with the developer anticipating construction to commence on the site later in the year.

Chris Keogh, senior surveyor at BB&J Commercial, said: “On behalf of our mutual clients, BB&J Commercial and Mather Jamie are pleased to finally conclude the sale of Bunkers Wood to William Davis.

“While this site was historically part of our mutual client’s strategic land holding, the opportunity to agree terms and ultimately a sale to William Davis represented an excellent opportunity for all parties.

“This deal will help to bring much-needed additional housing to the area.”

Mark Richardson, partner at BB&J Commercial, said “Chris is a very good negotiator and has been particularly successful delivering results for several of our clients on a number of development sites across the East Midlands.

“Land sales are subject to all kinds of complications and Chris’s knowledge has been key in getting some really good deals concluded.”
