Service on the Blue Line was restored with residual delays Thursday after a derailed train suspended service for nearly seven hours between the O’Hare and Rosemont stations.
The derailment happened about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday as the train approached the O’Hare terminal, according to Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski and the Chicago Fire Department.
Seventy-three passengers were evacuated, the fire department said. A 39-year-old woman was transported with a back injury to Resurrection Medical Center where her condition was stabilized.
