Despite a few lost feathers, a peacock that became lodged in a truck’s grille guard in Oregon is free and seemingly uninjured, according to police.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo and video of the bizarre scene to its social media platforms on Tuesday morning, along with this description:
“Yep, that’s a peacock. Just another example of ‘You never know what you’re going to see on patrol.’
“A deputy stopped to help this motorist out. She told him the peacock somehow got stuck in the grill guard.
“We’re happy to report the #peacock walked away from this encounter and appeared uninjured.”
A deputy had stopped to assist the motorist and, as the Twitter video shows, the peacock extricated itself as the deputy and another man tried to calm the large bird.
