
Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Prajin Juntong has been admitted to Bhumibol Hospital for treatment after sufferring from disc inflammation, according to his personal spokesman ACM Monthon Satchukorn.
The illness has forced him to suspend work for one week, starting Nov 12.
ACM Monthon said ACM Prajin felt severe back pain while on an inspection trip in Sakon Nakhon province on Saturday. At the Sakon Nakhon airport, he was examined by a doctor, who found the minister to be suffering from disc inflammation.
ACM Prajin was initially admitted to Sakon Nakhon Hospital and referred to Bhumibol Hospital in Bangkok on Sunday afternoon. Doctors have advised him to rest for five to seven days.
