A paedophile pensioner tried to groom children with the offer of cigarettes and vapes.
Malcolm Montgomery, 67, was jailed for seven years in 2006 at Liverpool Crown Court for sex abuse. He appeared back before Mold Crown Court yesterday, November 29, where he was sentenced to 27 months in prison after he admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order and a new sex assault on a youngster.
Judge Rhys Rowlands said the original order followed “very serious and depraved sexual behaviour” by Montgomery. But he’d breached it in May and June and groped a boy over his clothing, North Wales Live reports.

The judge said small groups of children were encouraged to visit Montgomery, who sought to groom them. But worried locals alerted police.
Judge Rowlands said: "There is no alternative to an immediate custodial sentence. You were seeking to revert to your old ways. Thankfully, your behaviour was nipped in the bud.”
Judge Rowlands said his home was “almost like a Fagin’s den” except there wasn’t dishonesty. Prosecuting counsel Nicholas Williams said there were three children involved in the case.
Montgomery had a mobility scooter and a flat at St Asaph. Defence barrister Sarah Yates said Montgomery led a lonely and isolated life.
His last conviction was in 2006. He had family in Birkenhead and intended to move from North Wales.
