Depot in the Castle road closures, food stalls, door times and everything else you need to know

So far this year we've seen some brilliant acts perform at Cardiff Castle , including  Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds  ,  Manic Street Preachers   and  The Killers .

And this weekend is set to bring a triple-whammy of awesome performers with Nile Rodgers, Clean Bandit and Tom Odell all appearing on the castle stage.

A one-day, family-friendly music festival, organised by Cardiff venue, Depot, will feature Tom Odell and Clean Bandit.

That one takes place on Saturday, July 13 the day after Nile Rodgers and Chic perform at the same venue.

Depot have worked to promote both events, which are set to bring thousands of music lovers to the city over the course of the weekend.

This is all you need to know about Depot in the Castle.

What items am I not allowed to bring?

There are a few rules around what you can and can't take into the castle. These apply for both events at the venue.

    You can't take:

    • any bag larger than a small rucksack

    • anything contained in glass. When it comes to drinking, there will be a re-usable cup scheme or you can bring your own refillable bottle of water

    • alcohol - you must buy it all on the castle grounds

    • drugs - anyone found in possession of, or under the influence of drugs, will be removed from the environment

    • food

    • pets (only guide dogs will be allowed within the grounds)

    • bikes  - but there will be plenty of lock-up stations nearby if you're planning on cycling

    Will there be road closures?

The road closures will be exactly the same as for the previous summer gigs at Cardiff Castle.

The city centre road closures won't be as far-reaching as with events in the nearby Principality Stadium.

But after the show ends, Castle Street will be closed, as well as North Road, to allow for gig-goers to exit the castle. These road closures will be for no more than 20-30 minutes.

    What food is on offer?

There will be a host of stalls set up around the site.

    These will include:

    • Brother Thai
    • Ffwrnes
    • Fablas Ice Cream
    • The Spice is Right
    • The Pork Society
    • Dirty Bird
    • Winnies Ices
    • Artisan Crepes
    • That Fish Guy
    • Mr Croquewich
    • Bao Selecta
    • The Beefy Boys
    • Extra stalls will also be added to the Saturday gig

What time do the doors open?

If you're off to see Nile Rodgers and Chic the doors open to the castle at 5.30pm on Friday.

On Saturday , you'll be able to access the site from noon to enjoy a day of fun ahead of the show.

What else do I need to know?

    • The weather is set to be very warm this weekend so organisers are advising people to bring sunscreen

    • Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult

    • There are wheelchair-friendly facilities and disabled toilets on site

    • There will be a challenge 25 policy at the two on-site bars, which means you need to bring your ID to be on the safe side (even if you're well over 25)
