Departed Corrie actor flooded with messages from co-stars after 'swansong' leaves fans sad

Departed Coronation Street star Harry Visinoni has been flooded with sweet messages from his former castmates.

The actor, who played Seb Franklin in the ITV soap, had his 'swansong' last week as he attended the National Television Awards.

Corrie picked up the Serial Drama gong, fighting off competition from fellow ITV soap Emmerdale, BBC's EastEnders and Channel 4's Hollyoaks.

Harry's former on-screen girlfriend Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, also picked up the award for Serial Drama Performance while soap youngster Jude Riordan won Newcomer.

They were all joined at the showbiz ceremony by Sally Carman - who plays Abi Franklin - and Todd Grimshaw actor Gareth Pierce.

This was Harry's last chance to join Corrie at an awards do after his character was tragically murdered earlier this year.

Seb lost his life after being kicked and stamped on during a hate crime attack, which also left Nina battered and bruised.

Corrie fans were on the edge of their seats in recent weeks when the truth of what happened on that fateful night was revealed.

Harry returned for the flashback scenes (itv/Coronation Street)

A special flashback episode saw Harry return to filming months after recording his final scenes in order for fans to see exactly what happened.

And fans were left fuming when culprit Corey Brent walked away free from court and Kelly Neelan was sent down for murder.

But taking to Instagram this week, Harry paid tribute to the soap and his co-stars.

"Couldn’t be prouder of the team that I’ve had the privilege to be a part of," he wrote alongside a series of beautiful images from the NTA's.

"What a way to see out my time at Corrie," the 21-year-old added.

The post quickly filled up with messages from his fellow soap stars.

"You went out like the star that you are," his on-screen mum Sally wrote. "Gorgeous that you were there!"

Gareth added: "Had a great time with you, pal. What a swansong!"

Nina actress Mollie wrote: "AWWW," with a sting of crying and love heart emojis.

" Fab!!!" Tracey Barlow actress Kate Ford added.

But it left fans feeling sad.

" Just fabulous. My heart is broke that your off the show but your acting skills along with your constars are incredible! I sure do wish nothing but your biggest dreams come true," one shared.

Another commented: "Great pics! I miss Seb."

"The send-off you deserved. We’ll miss you but you will fly," a third added.

A fourth said: "What a gorgeous photo of all 3. Wonderful to see Harry at the awards. Should be a best couple award. Would have won it hands down."
