Deontay Wilder has said that he will knock out Anthony Joshua 'in a devastating fashion' once he's gotten through Tyson Fury next month.
The American was in talks to fight Joshua before his two bouts with Fury, which he drew and lost, seemingly ending talks of a potential superfight between the two.
But in a recent interview, Wilder has said that he still has ambitions of facing the Watford native in what would be one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time.
The former heavyweight champion will need to get through his old rival Fury on July 24 at the T-Mobile Arena before discussions can begin about a potential fight with Joshua, but he believes it would be a fast night were the fight to happen.
Asked if he wanted to fight Joshua next by Sky Sports, Wilder said: "Most definitely, with no excuses.
"As far as I see it, they're already making up excuses, they've already got a mandatory planned in their heads, nobody wants to fight someone like me, and I don't blame.
"[I will knock out Joshua] in a devastating fashion.
"I'm the baddest man on the planet that's seeking on his own admission to become one champion, one face, one name."
Wilder also believes that Joshua's upcoming bout with mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk is a difficult proposition for the current unified champion, depending on how the night goes for the former undisputed cruiserweight champ.
"Every fight is a dangerous fight," he continued. "You never know what kind of a night somebody is going to have.
"It's up to him [Usyk, to determine if he can translate his skills to heavyweight], what's for him is for him, everyone is a threat until proven otherwise."
Wilder also blasted fellow heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte, who has made some derogatory comments towards the former champion in the past.
He referred to the Londoner as 'scum' and a 'peasant with no backbone', while denying that he would ever be in the running for a fight with Wilder down the road.
Meanwhile, Fury has actually backed Joshua to beat Usyk, telling Seconds Out that the world heavyweight champ would 'walk through' his smaller opponent.
"I don't believe Usyk is a heavyweight for one," Fury said. "I think he's a pumped up cruiserweight who struggles with heavyweights.
"In my opinion, Derek Chisora beat Oleksandr Usyk; he certainly struggled with Derek Chisora and Joshua is a much bigger, stronger man than Derek.
"I think he walks straight through Usyk, people are trying to build it up as a scary fight but he didn't have the power to halt cruiserweights like Mairis Briedis or whoever else he fought.
"So he ain't going to halt AJ, 260 lbs of pure muscle and 6"6', how's he going to keep him off?
"He couldn't hurt Derek Chisora, hit him with his best shots on the chin and he didn't hurt him, or at least it didn't look like he'd hurt him."
