Denzel Ward, Demetrius Harris post horrible game grades from PFF

Pro Football Focus released their initial game grades for the Cleveland Browns in their disastrously undisciplined Week 1 loss to the Tennessee Titans. The lowest graded players by PFF on each side of the ball produced an unsurprising player on offense and a very disappointing — but valid — one on the Browns defense.

Backup TE Demetrius Harris earned the lowest grade on offense. Anyone who watched the game probably guessed he would be at the bottom. In just 11 offensive snaps, Harris committed two accepted penalties, failed to haul in his one target and did not fare well as a blocker in the run game. He posted a 27.3 overall grade. Greg Robinson was next in line at 48.7, which includes his ejection penalty.

Defensively, the lowest-graded Browns player was Denzel Ward. A Pro Bowler as a rookie, Ward’s second season did not start off well. He was passive in coverage and victimized by rookie WR A.J. Brown for one big completion. Ward missed two tackles in the game while recording none, too. His 29.8 was just below LB Adarius Taylor, who only played three snaps.
