Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams expected to play vs. Patriots

The bye week provided much-needed healing waters for the Cleveland Browns and their starting cornerbacks. Both Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams drank from the bye fountain and have had their balky hamstrings healed.

Ward and Williams were both full participants in every practice session this week. Neither is listed with any injury status on Friday’s final injury report in advance of Sunday’s game in New England against the Patriots.

The duo suffered matching hamstring injuries in a practice session following the Week 2 win over the New York Jets. Ward and Williams have not played since. Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie have stepped up in their place, but getting the young starting tandem back is a big boost for the Browns for the rest of the season.
