The Denver Broncos could be without a significant part of their defense on Sunday when they host the Washington Football Team.
On Wednesday, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio spoke to the Washington media and said star pass-rusher Von Miller is “50-50” for Sunday, per Ben Standig of The Athletic.

Miller, who injured his ankle in last Thursday’s loss to the Browns, has played in every game for Denver this season. He is in his 11th NFL season and has 110.5 career sacks. He leads the Broncos in sacks this season with 4.5.
Fangio told Denver reporters that if the team had to make injury designations on Wednesday, Miller would be listed as questionable.

There is a long way to go before Sunday. The fact Fangio said he would say Miller would be questionable if he had to decide on Wednesday likely bodes well for Miller’s availability on Sunday.
Washington left tackle Charles Leno will have his hands full against Miller. While Leno is coming off his worst game of the season in Week 7, he’s been terrific in his first season in Washington. According to Pro Football Focus, Leno is ranked No. 14 in pass protection for the 2021 NFL season.
Washington and Denver are scheduled for a 4:25 ET kickoff on Sunday.
