British dentists are enjoying a boom in business as Londoners seek the perfect smile.
A new poll found that over a third of Londoners are unhappy with their smile, spurred on by reality TV stars with ‘Hollywood smiles.’
Actress Margot Robbie, who is starring in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, was polled as having the nation’s favourite smile, followed by Love Island favourite Jack Fincham.
Research by Barclays Business Banking found that almost two thirds of people are willing to fork out for cosmetic dental work, with those in London willing to spend an average of £1,738.
Those in Brighton were found to be willing to spend the most money. They said they would pay up to £2,157, well ahead of the national average at £1,121.
The value of loans to dentists from the bank has doubled in the last two years as they race to expand premises and invest in new tech to keep up with consumer demand.
