Bills receivers Cole Beasley and Isaiah McKenzie were fined by the NFL for not wearing masks despite being unvaccinated. We know this because both proudly tweeted out the news of their fines on Thursday morning, with McKenzie leaving his email address uncropped in one post.
Beasley and three other Bills players are currently barred from the team facility because they’re unvaccinated and had a close contact with a COVID-19-positive team trainer. Beasley has spent his down time whining and getting in online arguments about his proudly idiotic views on the virus and vaccinations.
“They got me! NFL you win!,” McKenzie tweeted, with a letter from the league attached. According to the letter, McKenzie didn’t wear a mask on July 27 and got a “written warning” from the league. (Only unvaccinated players are required to wear masks at team facilities.)
The letter says that McKenzie went maskless for “several minutes” on two occasions on Wednesday, including at a team meeting.
“Don’t worry they got me too,” Beasley said in response. “I wore a mask that whole day but got fined because I didn’t have it in from entry door to the locker room. Which is literally 5 steps,” Beasley, who is a giant baby, wrote.
The letter to McKenzie says he was fined $14,560 and warned of escalating discipline from the league.
About 80% of the team is fully vaccinated, according to Bills coach Sean McDermott. In other words, there’s a small but significant portion of the roster, led by Beasley, which isn’t fully committed to playing and winning.
The Bills duo is among 25 players fined by the league for not wearing a mask or tracing device, according to NFL Network, and dozens more have been warned.
