Dennis Schröder Extends Olive Branch to Draymond Green After Game 6 Confrontation

After helping the Lakers close out the Warriors in Game 6, Dennis Schröder took to Instagram to make amends with Draymond Green following their heated confrontation during the game.

The Lakers guard got into it several times with the Warriors forward throughout the series, with things hitting a tipping point on Friday in L.A. After getting hit with a technical foul for taunting Green earlier in the game, Schröder received another tech and an eventual ejection after a dust-up between the two in the third quarter.

The intense competition between the players and their teams was evidently enough for Schröder to shout Green out in an IG post celebrating the win. Schröder first praised Green for his well-documented competitive spirit before touting the four-time NBA champion as a future Hall of Famer.

“WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS!!! 💜💛 One of the biggest competitors there is !!! @money23green, A lot of respect for you 💐 HOF,” wrote Schröder, who hilariously included pictures recapping the moments leading up to his second tech.

Schröder’s respectful message, and playful jab, toward his opponent came on the heels of a completely opposite on-court confrontation with Green in Game 6.

An Anthony Davis steal on the possession after a thunderous dunk from the Lakers star led to a foul from Green with the Lakers up, 74-58. Schröder took exception to the foul and walked over to Green to flex in his face while the Warriors star pushed the ball into the guard’s face. Both players were hit with techs for the exchange.

With the Lakers-Warriors series now over, only time will tell if Schröder’s days of mixing it up with Green are truly behind him. But, until then, Schröder and the Lakers will have plenty to keep celebrating about after ending the Warriors’ season and advancing to their first Western Conference finals since 2020.
