Dennis Hogan to move back to super welterweight for next fight in America

Dennis Hogan will move back to super welterweight for his next fight, which will take place in the United States.

The Kildare native, who is based in Australia, lost to Jermall Charlo in his last fight after moving up to middleweight for the world title bout.

Hogan was last seen fighting at super welterweight last April when controversially losing to Jaime Munguia for the WBO belt. Munguia has since defeated Cork boxer Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan.

Posting on his Facebook page, Hogan said: "I will be moving back to my ideal weight of super welterweight for my next fight in America.

"But I am 100% committed to fighting in my home country in a meaningful fight.

"My team are still focused on it and I will make it happen.

"Irish boxing deserved the good time’s back."
