The body was found in John Sayer Close, Barking, London, at 11am on Saturday 28 December.

While the deceased has not been formally identified as the 62-year-old, Metropolitan Police have said they believe it is him.

His death is being treated as unexplained.

Officers are awaiting the result of a post-mortem examination.

A 53-year old man, and a 47-year-old woman were arrested on Christmas Eve on suspicion of robbery and kidnap.

They have been released under investigation.

As well as them, a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of kidnap on Christmas Eve.

They have both been bailed to return on a date later this month.

Mr Farnell's next-of-kin have been informed.
