Denise Welch strips down to bra and knickers and declares she loves her 'bumps and lumps'

Denise Welch has never been the shy and retiring type, but her latest video surprised even her most dedicated fans.

The 61-year-old stripped down to her bra and knickers in a risqué video she posted to Twitter .

She declared she was proud of her "bumps and lumps" in a tweet to plug the diet brand she's an ambassador of.

Denise, who is mum to 1975 star Matt Healy, looked stunning in the all black set.

She said in the video: "I am in my underwear and I don't care because I've maintained my weight for six years after losing two stone."

The mum-of-three joked that she was "61 and embarrassing myself in my underwear".

But her Twitter followers didn't agree and heaped praise on the video.

One tweeted: "Love you! And your bumps! You look amazing!"

"Blimey you look fab, amazing," another posted.

A third agreed: "You're just fab, wish I looked half as good as you."

Six years ago her weight had ballooned while she battled depression and addiction.

Denise and now-husband Lincoln Townley used to drink every night, and got to the point where a "hangover felt normal".

In a bid to adopt a healthier lifestyle after Lincoln had a heart scare in 2013, they cut out the drink.

But it wasn't long before she developed a "destructive" food addiction in its place.

Speaking to Broccoli and Brains magazine, she recently opened up about her weight gain: "Until I gave up drinking, I never really had a weight problem. I'd certainly never had a sweet tooth.

"But once I stopped drinking, I started getting massive sugar cravings and the weight started going on."
