Denise Welch spends Christmas with ex Tim Healy and family in Northumberland but son Matt is absent

Denise Welch and ex Tim Healy spent Christmas Day together in Northumberland, along with their other halves Lincoln Townley and Joan Anderton and relatives.

Actors Denise and Tim split close to 10 years ago after 24 years together, with both now re-married. Denise tied the knot with Lincoln in 2013, with Tim marrying wife Joan in 2015.

Christmas 2020 was a very different one for everyone in the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic, as large family gatherings were banned throughout the festive period as the country was in tiers with severe restrictions.

That meant that Denise and her relatives weren't able to gather as they usually would, but they made up for it this year, with Tim and Joan celebrating with Denise and Lincoln and son Louis Healy and others up north on Saturday.

Denise posted a group picture of them all together on Instagram, although she did share her upset that son Matty, lead singer of Brit winners The 1975 couldn't be there with his other half, singer FKA Twigs.

She also uploaded a boomerang to her Insta of Lincoln and Tim pulling a cracker, captioning it: " It’s a cracker!!!! Merry Christmas!!!"

It's been a tough few months for Denise and her loved ones after the death of her dad Vin at the age of 84, following his battle with pneumonia and a string of major operations.

Posting about his passing on Instagram, Loose Women star Denise posted: "After making a miraculous recovery recently from major surgeries, pneumonia plus his existing pulmonary fibrosis was more than even he could take.

"He left us surrounded by his family who could not have loved anyone more.

"I can’t quite function as I’m so grief stricken, but I know he meant so much to so many people, even those who’d never met him. I've never seen anyone fight to stay longer at a party than dad and last night was no different."
