Denise Welch cosies up to Taylor Swift in photo that stuns fans as two meet at The 1975 gig

Denise Welch has caused a social media storm, by uploading a photo of her with music megastar, after they met backstage at The 1975's London gig on Thursday.

Days after she was given a 'royal' welcome as she took her seat at the Brighton Centre to see son Matt Healy and his band kick off their UK tour, Loose Women star Denise was back in the audience, this time at London's iconic O2 to watch The 1975 play to another packed crowd.

And those in the huge audience were treated to a massive surprise when Taylor, fresh from being nominated for a number of Brit Awards, took to the stage to perform Anti-Hero. Her cameo prompted a wild reaction from those at the O2 to witness it and from those who weren't actually there. Finding out it happened, one fan took to Twitter to post: "imagine going to the 1975 concerts hoping the get one of matt healy's famous kisses and then taylor swift pops out of nowhere to sing anti-hero ahh"

After bumping into Taylor backstage, Denise couldn't resist getting a picture, which she then shared on Instagram, as she mentioned a host of other stars who were in the attendance, including Florence Welch, Charli XCX and her Loose Women co-star Frankie Bridge.

Denise also shared Taylor's appearance on stage on her Insta story, captioning it: "When Taylor popped in for a cuppa."

Denise meeting Taylor came as she was dubbed the 'UK Kris Jenner' and one 1975 fan reacted to the photo of them together by replying: "omg kris jenner met taylor swift." Denise's friend and former Loose Women host Kate Thornton wrote: "So sorry not to have been there! Please tell me you and Taylor are now friends?"

Mentioning Denise's dad Vin, who sadly died in 2021, another of her celeb pals, Jenny Powell, commented: "You're just cool! And as for Matty...just wow! What a family, Vinnie will e smiling from ear to ear."
