Matty Healy’s mother Denise Welch has taken a brutal swipe at the rocker’s ex, Taylor Swift.
The 1975 frontman, 36, and Midnights singer, 35, briefly dated in 2023 after initially meeting in 2014.
Swift was rumoured to have written many songs about Healy in her Tortured Poets Department album - which was released less than a year after their split.
She has since moved on with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, while Healy is engaged to model and singer Gabbriette.
Loose Women star Welch, 67, took aim at her son’s ex when asked how she felt about Swift’s album during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live on Thursday.
“Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, “ the 67-year-old said.

She added, “But being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost,” eliciting shocked gasps from the audience.
Welch quickly added: “Not that I have anything against her at all! It was just — it was tricky.”
The Celebrity Big Brother star then appeared to take aim at Swift’s die-hard fans.
“She... listen, you're not allowed to say anything, and then she writes a whole album about it,” Welch said.
The presenter went on: "But Matty has taken it all in completely good grace. He's very happy with his amazing fiancée Gabriella, Gabbriette, who is gorgeous.”

Healy and Swift are rumoured to have had a brief romance in May and June of 2023 after the superstar split from longtime boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn.
A number of songs from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department are thought to be about him.
But Daddy I Love Him, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart are widely interpreted to be about their rumoured romance.
Healy moved on with Gabbriette Bechtel, and the pair announced their engagement in June 2024.
"He came to L.A., and we've been in love ever since," the 27-year-old model said of their romance.
