Loose Women star Denise Welch is making a return to soaps with a starring role in Hollyoaks.
The popular soap will reach its 25th anniversary this month, with a series of explosive storylines in the works to mark the milestone.
Actress Denise Welch is to join the hit Channel 4 show as dance teacher, Trish, who is to be Nikki Sanderson's on-screen mum.
Trish will arrive in Hollyoaks under the ominous shadow of boyfriend, Brad, who immediately takes a shine to Nikki's character, Maxine, which could potentially drive a wedge between the mother and daughter.

Denise and Nikki previously worked together on Coronation Street when they played Natalie Barnes and Candice Stowe.
But that isn't Denise's only Hollyoaks connection as she’s also starred with Chelsee Healey, who currently plays Goldie, when they appeared in Waterloo Road and is a Loose Woman alongside Kelle Bryan who plays Martine.
Speaking about her new role, Denise said: "I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks in this, their 25th year.

As well as acting credits including Soldier Soldier, Waterloo Road, ground-breaking Boy Meets Girl and Benidorm, plus 18 years as a panellist on Loose Women, Denise is also a Sunday Times bestselling author.
Trish will first appear on screen in January 2021 much to the shock of Maxine, who has fought many battles with her immediate family around her since arriving in Hollyoaks in 2012.
