Denise Welch reignites Piers Morgan feud with 'aggressive' coronavirus accusation

Denise Welch has reignited her feud with Piers Morgan by accusing of him of "ranting and shouting aggressively" about coronavirus.

Geordie actress Denise and GMB host Piers have clashed on numerous occasions in the past few years, with her unhappy at the way he belittled people's mental health struggles, something she has battled with herself.

Last year, former Coronation Street star Denise was left fuming after Piers told a mental health campaigner: "I think we need to teach mental strength and we need to teach kids to toughen up a bit ... life is actually about the real world."

She reacted: "I am totally and utterly appalled that @piersmorgan actually said this on live television!! Toughen up??? How f.....g dare he."

Piers responded by labelling Denise "a professional victim," before blocking her on Twitter.

Earlier in lockdown, Denise accused Piers of causing anxiety about coronavirus, tweeting: "Piers Morgan. Please. Have you ANY idea of the anxiety you are causing already terrified people??? We know the horror. We know."

And, standing firm on this stance she's hit out at him once again in an interview with Closer magazine.

She scalded: "His ranting and shouting aggressively about the virus without ever sharing any positive news has scared a lot of people.

"He should care more about people's mental health."

Piers has since said that the online clashes have "ruined" whatever friendship he had with Denise, saying: "I think we're done as friends. "I can't see through the behaviour."
