Denise Welch praises Coronation Street stars for lifting her up during 'low point'

Denise Welch took to social media to thank her Coronation Street star friends for lifting her up, after admitting she's feeling low.

The actress posted a picture of her posing with Jane Danson and Samia Longchambon, who play Leanne Battersby and Maria Windass in the ITV soap, as well as TV presenter Jenny Powell, fellow Loose Women panelist Carol McGiffin and Hollyoaks actress, Nikki Sanderson.

Denise captioned the post: "There is NOTHING like your girlfriends to lift you up when you feel low. I'm so lucky to have these wonderful women in my life!!

"jennypowelltv @realjanedanson @samia_longchambon @karriechapman @the_mcgiff & @niknaksanderson @rosiehirstx and @keeleypage11 who had to go as I was on the phone so long to dad!!"

The 63-year-old Loose Women panellist was feeling low due to her dad being admitted into hospital with pneumonia and not being able to visit him.

She took to Twitter on Monday to share the news and said: "My dad is back in hospital with pneumonia but hopefully just for a few days. Still no visiting allowed!! Shocking!!

"The nurses are upset by it. Spoke to a big London hospital today also. Covid is not the main problem in both of these hospitals, staffing is!!"

The Waterloo Road stars fans were quick to compliment her photo on Instagram, with one of her followers saying: "Smashing group of friends."

A second fan said: "Beautiful girls."

And a third fan also sent her dad their well-wishes and said: "Hope your pops recovers quickly. Sending you all lots of love and hugs."
