Denise Welch hits back at 'abusive bully' accusations in spat with Piers Morgan's son Spencer

Denise Welch has hit back at damning accusations from Piers Morgan's son Spencer that she was 'the most abusive bully' on Twitter, after she laid into his dad for his continued criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their 'delusion' over his actions.

Like many public figures this week, both Loose Women panellist Denise and former Good Morning Britain host Piers have had their say on Harry this week, with the release of his tell-all memoir Spare and the many interviews he's given about it, with bombshells emerging from both including an alleged altercation with brother Prince William in 2019 and his description of stepmother and now Queen Consort, Camilla as "dangerous" due to her relationship with the press.

Denise has been a longstanding supporter of Harry and Meghan, often defending them when their names have cropped up on Loose Women and last week clashed with co-star Jane Moore over how public Prince Harry was being with the claims about his family.

Earlier this week, Piers brought up his fraught exit from GMB, after he stormed out of the ITV show's studio during a row over Meghan with colleague Alex Beresford. But,. having heard Prince Harry deny he or Meghan ever said the Royal Family were racist, Piers tweeted: I seem to recall being forced out of my job at @GMB for disbelieving Harry & Meghan’s unsubstantiated racism claims against the Royal Family. Now he’s finally admitted there was no racism, two questions: a) Do I get my old job back? b) Why should we believe a word they say?"

He later added: "I was forced out of my job at @GMB for disbelieving Meghan Markle’s claims to @Oprah hat the Royals were racist, and that Palace officials refused to let her seek help for her suicidal thoughts. Neither of these claims are repeated in Harry’s book. I rest my case."

And son Spencer then tweeted when ITV were going to 'apologise' to his dad., to which Denise shot back: "What for?? Has he apologised to the nation for his abuse of people not vaccinated?? For terrifying people on a daily basis for 2 yrs!!! For bullying people with mental health issues??"

In relation to Piers' tweet about being 'forced' off GMB, Meghan, Denise tweeted: "Actually Piers, wasn’t it because you said you didn’t believe her comments about her post natal depression and suicidal thoughts? No mention of that here though??"

On seeing Denise's response to his post, Spencer replied: "Lol. You’re the most abusive bully on this app. Do one." But standing strong, Denise retorted:" Oh please!!!" along with a series of laughing emojis.

Denise later returned to Twitter to post: "The Morgan’s delusion knows no bounds. Son of the man who has bullied Meghan Markle mercilessly for years as well as other women."
