Denise Welch has shock Waterloo Road reunion in American supermarket

Denise Welch got the shock of her life in an American supermarket, when she bumped into one of her former Waterloo Road co-stars completely out of the blue.

Denise, who starred as French teacher Steph Haydock in the much loved BBC school based drama, recently headed over the Atlantic to see her godparents for the first in years.

And the 63-year-old took to Instagram to reveal that she met a familiar face while out shopping at famous US store Target. The actor in question is Reece Noi, who played troubled pupil Earl Kelly in Waterloo Road.

Next to a boomerang of them dancing at the end one of the shopping aisles, Denise wrote: " I’m in Target LA as Rodeo Drive doesn’t have what I’m looking for and look who came running over for a boomerang! Only @itsreecenoi who played Earl Kelly in Waterloo Road! He’s now a successful Hollywood actor but never too big to want a boomerang with me next to the panty pad aisle. Good for him."

After leaving Waterloo Road, Reece, who describes himself as an Actor/Poet/Writer in his Instagram bio, went onto star in Game of Thrones, while Denise became a regular on the Loose Women panel, won Celebrity Big Brother and appeared in groundbreaking BBC comedy Boy Meets Girl and Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

Neither of them has been linked to a return to Waterloo Road, after it was confirmed it will be returning to BBC. Adam Thomas will be back in action as Dante Charles, while Angela Griffin's on-screen alias Kim Campbell will be head of the school.

Angela was quick to react to Denise's post about Reece, writing: "No waaay!!!! What are the chances?"

Another ex Waterloo Road star Chelcee Healey, who played Janeece Bryant and now stars in Hollyoaks, also commented on the post, writing: "My faves," along a string of heart emojis.
