Denise Welch embroiled in spat with Piers Morgan's son as he calls her an 'abusive bully'

Denise Welch has been embroiled in another Twitter spat with Piers Morgan's son Spencer.

The Loose Women panelist was branded an "abusive bully" by the former Good Morning Britain presenter's son.

The public row began as Spencer, 29, tweeted to ask if ITV had apologised to his father, 57, after Piers asked for his job at GMB back in a tweet.

Piers sensationally quit Good Morning Britain two years ago following his outbursts about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Oprah Winfrey interview – where he claimed he didn't believe a number of revelations made.

GMB weatherman Alex Beresford slammed Piers on air, who later reacted by storming off set and quitting the show.

Despite having his own programme on GB News, Piers made it clear he wants his ITV job back.

Piers tweeted: "I seem to recall being forced out of my job at @GMB for disbelieving Harry & Meghan’s unsubstantiated racism claims against the Royal Family. Now he’s finally admitted there was no racism, two questions: a) Do I get my old job back? b) Why should we believe a word they say?"

And in support of his father, Spencer later posted on the social media network: "Have @itv apologised to @piersmorgan yet?"

But, Loose Women star Denise, 64, didn't agree that the channel had to say sorry to Piers as she replied to Spencer with: "What for?? Has he apologised to the nation for his abuse of people not vaccinated?? For terrifying people on a daily basis for 2 yrs!!! For bullying people with mental health issues??"

Spencer then hit back at Denise as he wrote: "Lol. You’re the most abusive bully on this app. Do one".

"Oh please!!!," Denise responded, with a string of laughing face emojis.

Denise and Piers have a long-standing feud and have regularly clashed on Twitter in the past – with Piers blocking Denise on the platform in 2017.

In 2020, Denise even came off of Twitter after the pair disagreed over vaccinations and the coronavirus in the pandemic.

Denise accused the media of "fear-mongering" in the pandemic as she and Piers disagreed before she took a break from the social media platform.

Speaking on the fallout at the time, Denise said: "I’ve had enough of it. I’ve said my piece and I tried to do what I could for the mental health of the people who follow me.

"Now I’m just keeping my head down and looking after myself and my family."

In October, Denise branded Piers and his son Spencer "utter a******s" in reaction to a tweet from Spencer which read: "Got told off by a Meghan Markle fan last night. No surprise, she looked like had multiple screws loose. [sic]

"Told her to DM Piers and do one."

Denise hit back as she replied with: "Referring to someone as having ‘multiple screws loose’, I’ve been a mental health ambassador for 30 yrs.

"We fight constantly to change this terminology. Go Morgan’s you utter a*******s!!!"

Piers then got involved as he retweeted Denise's post and wrote: "The world’s most vicious & abusive ‘mental health ambassador’ now attacks my son. Welch is a repellent con artist trading off mental health to make money - like Markle, the very worst kind of woke virtue-signalling fraud."
