Denise Welch dishes out surprising advice to Princess Anne on Loose Women

Denise Welch has dished out some surprising advice to Princess Anne as The Queen's daughter turns 70.

Denise returned to the Loose Women panel for the first time in a week on Wednesday and was joined by stand-in host Ranvir Singh and co-stars Janet Street-Porter and Coleen Nolan, with Coleen appearing via video link from home.

The quartet discussed the Princess Royal as ITV gets set to air a documentary about her 70th birthday and her time in the spotlight as the daughter of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with Ranvir posing the question if Anne was the Best Queen we never had’?

And, while Coleen said she didn't feel like Princess Anne had enough warmth with the public, Janet said she was a big fan and she wasn't given enough credit for how striking she is.

Giving her opinion, Geordie actress Denise said there was one thing she'd change about her..her hair.

Denise explained: "She does have her dad’s (Prince Phillip) bluntness’ said Denise.

"And I think having Anne as queen would be like having Janet Street-Porter as queen and I don’t know how that would go down."

Giving some surprising advice, Denise added: "I think she’s a beautiful woman and I remember being blown away by how beautiful she looked at the wedding.

"I just wish Zara could say to her, “Mum why don’t you just get yourself a graduated bob?”’ I just thing she'd really suit a nice graduated bob."

Adding that she thought it must take a lot of effort for Princess Anne to style her hair the way she is famous for, Denise then quipped: "’I'm sure she’s not going to take advice from me but I think she’d really suit it."
