Denise Welch, 64, 'hotter than ever' in bikini as she brushes off Coleen Nolan 'tension'

Loose Women star Denise Welch proudly showed off her bikini body in a gorgeous holiday snap, which has sent fans wild.

The actress, 64, looked confident as she beamed at the camera while wearing a green two-piece with tassels, accessorising the swimwear with platform shoes.

The soap actress brushed off speculation of tension with Coleen Nolan on the show and instead posed up a storm while on a cruise with her partner Lincoln Townley.

In the latest swimsuit snap, the Hollyoaks star wore red lipstick and posed with her hands on her hips, as she perched on a stool, with the sea and blue sky in the background.

In her post, Denise, who has partnered with LighterLife, spoke about how she had avoided gaining weight on the trip.

"The food is so accessible & available 24/7 on @celebritycruisesuk so it’s important to have restrain."

The TV presenter went on: "I’m enjoying everything in all the different restaurants but just having smaller portions and eating a bit slower. @lighterlife mentorship helps me make better choices. That’s it really."

Denise finished her post with three love heart emojis.

A fourth person wrote: "Hope I look as good as you in my early 60’s, you are amazing."

Denise's stunning snap comes as Loose Women fans speculated whether she and co-panellist Coleen Nolan may have had an off-air dispute after the pair came to blows during an awkward episode of the ITV daytime show.

During Tuesday's episode of the ITV lunchtime programme, Coleen and Denise were joined by Christine Lampard and Linda Robson as they discussed various topics including menopause and friendships.

Christine was keen to get their thoughts on a claim that women only need one good friend in their life, prompting Denise to mention her attempts to organise a get together for the Loose Women panellists.

However, Coleen told Denise she didn't want to come on the Loose Women meet-up, while Linda said the former singer wasn't even in their WhatsApp group.

The awkward exchange prompted viewers to take to Twitter to insist there was a “bad atmosphere” in the studio, as one tweeted: “There seems to be a bad atmosphere on the panel today, give me a knife to cut it lol.”

Another wrote: “Something definitely happened backstage, you could cut the tension with a knife.”

They added, alongside a picture of two women not speaking to one another as they scrolled through their phones: "I bet it’s like this in the ad breaks."

A third wrote: "You can tell Coleen is very annoyed by Denise today," as another echoed: "The tension between Coleen and Denise is so obvious."
