Denise Van Outen thanks overstretched NHS staff after horror fall in Dancing On Ice training

TV star Denise Van Outen has thanked 'glorious' NHS staff for their care after a horror fall in Dancing On Ice training.

The 46-year-old former presenter of The Big Breakfast also thanked her pro skating partner Matt Evers for taking care of her and fans for their 'lovely' messages of support after she reportedly dislocated her left shoulder and suffered tendon damage in rehearsals ahead of the show launch tonight.

Denise shared snaps on Instagram of herself looking upset while being tended to by medics, and another of herself in a medical room.

She penned: "Thank you for all your lovely messages this morning. Told you I’m clumsy on the ice!

"Massive thanks to everyone @itv. (Medics & production) and our glorious @nhswebsite for looking after me because I know how overstretched you are at the moment.

"Also thank you to @themattevers for being a true friend and taking care of me and making me laugh when I feel like crying. @dancingonice @itv #dancingonice."

Best wishes came flooding in for Denise.

Her fellow Dancing On Ice contestant Billie Shepherd replied: "You are so amazing and brave!!! nothing's going to stop this lady."

Drag Race star Michelle Visage told her: "Oh honey WE ARE PULLING FOR YOU."

Steps singer Ian 'H' Watkins, who skated with Matt last year on the ITV celeb skating contest, said: "HUGE HUGS."

And Matt sent a stream of love hearts.

A new batch of 12 celebrities will be taking to the ice for the new series presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

They also include former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes, who played Kate Connor in the soap and Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren Plant.
