Denise Van Outen has said that she never actually got engaged to her partner Eddie Boxshall, despite saying they are planning to get married.
The 46-year-old TV presenter has said that despite agreeing to tie the knot, neither of them have proposed to the other.
The former Big Breakfast host spoke about her relationship with Eddie, 46, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.
Denise said that she had planned to propose to Eddie last year but the pandemic had put an end to that opportunity.
She said on the ITV breakfast news show: "We never had any plans to get married. There's never been an engagement, although I was planning on leap year to propose.
"Eddie will be surprised watching this but all of that got cancelled. I was planning to and then we had conversations again last year and we said we would like to get married."

Denise was previously married to West End and Casualty star Lee Mead but after four years of marriage, they split in 2013. They share nine-year-old daughter, Betsy.
Speaking about how thoughts of marriage came about with Eddie, Denise said: "I said, 'Let's not worry about getting engaged. We'll just plan a day and have close friends and family there when things reopen'."
She added that because "we're like a married couple anyway", they thought that marriage would be a good way to show their feelings for each other.
They are now planning a low-key, Covid-safe ceremony in a registry office.

Denise also spoke about rumours that she and Johnny Vaughan are planning to reunite for the 30th anniversary of The Big Breakfast.
The pair had a falling out after presenting the show together but during the lockdown, the pair buried their differences and are on a better footing with each other.
Speaking about the possibility of reuniting on our TV screens again, Denise said: "It is just that, it's a rumour. I think this has come from me reconnecting with Johnny over the last year - we've been doing a lot of chatting.
"We never really had a major fall out, our careers went on different paths, we've reconnected.
"I've got a lot of love for Johnny, always have and we've got a very similar humour."
